Sui Gas Connection – Sui Gas Bill

The procedure for getting Sui gas connection depends on your location and the regulations set by SNGPL. After starting the Sui gas home connection you can check the Sui Gas connection in front of your premises. If SNGPL connection is available in your street and Sui Gas connection is already running in your neighbor’s house. You can then request a new Sui Gas home connection.

Sui Gas Home Connection Categories

There are two categories of Sui gas connection for domestic use;

Normal connection
Special connection

The main difference between regular connection and special connection is based on rates and time. The normal connection fee charged by SNGPL up to 10 Marla is Rs. 6000 and above 10 Marla is Rs. 7500
Also if you want special connection you can pay Rs. 25000 along with regular fee. Second, the normal connection procedure takes a lot of time and the application of the SNGPL process will come first. But you can get fast lane by paying additional amount of Rs. 25000

After deciding on normal or special connection of Sui gas across Pakistan, the following procedure will be followed:

  • Submitting an application for a New Sui Gas Connection
  • Household line survey by SNGPL
  • Proposal letter or demand notice sent by The SNGPL
  • Home Line Installation
  • Notice of deposit request
  • Gas connection
  • First Sui Gas Bill

Submitting an Application for a New Sui Gas Connection

First of all you will arrange the application form from your nearest SNGPL office or you can download it from SNGPL official website. This form is free and easily available at the office or can be downloaded from the website. After arranging the new home form application form, you can fill it and send it to your nearest SNGPL office along with the following mandatory documents:

  • Photocopy of the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
  • Property documents i.e. Fard, Register and other legal documents to check and verify the plot size.
  • Photocopy of your neighbor’s Sui Gas bill

After completing the new Sui gas connection file, you can send it to the nearest SNGPL office and get the receipt from SNGPL officer for reference or follow up of Sui Gas connection application.

House line survey of SNGPL

Having submitted a request for connection to Sui gas houses, in the next phase the company’s representative will visit your facility and prepare an operational and technical feasibility report for the provision of gas connection. After the feasibility report is done, he will submit it for approval.

Proposal letter or demand notice sent by SNGPL

After acceptance of the feasibility report the Company will send you a demand note for security and utility line charges as per the tariff set by SNGPL.
Security charges for domestic connection are fixed at Rs. 4500 and if your plot size is maximum 10 Marla Rs. 1500 service line charges charged by SNGPL and if your plot size is more than 10 Marla Rs. 3000 service line charges levied by SNGPL.

Now the applicant arranges the installation of the house line from approved contractors in your region. These contractors ensure the installation of the line as per the quality standards set by SNGPL and the house plan issued by the company. These contractors will also be responsible for testing the installed house line and guaranteeing the applicant the recommended pressure, leak proof and adverse events after gas supply.

The applicant has his option to contact the contractor registered by SNGPL Company and settle the amount of the work. The applicant clears the contractor’s payment after installing the house line and getting the test report from him. He then submits a report along with the supply contract agreement to the field office.

After installing home line applicant, visit regional office or field office or customer service center to submit contract agreement home line plan, installation certificate and CNIC copy, obtain Challan form or request notification of service charges and security charges.
The applicant placed a demand note for service and security charges at the nominated Bank and took the receipt as reference.

Gas connection is available on a first-come, first-served basis and the distribution team will lay a pipeline to your home connection and install a gas meter.

SNGPL The first invoice will be issued within 45 days. If you have not received a bill after 45 days you can visit the online website (suigasebill.pk) to view and download a Sui Gas Bill.

The contractor is only allowed to charge the labor cost of the home line installation and “pay nothing to any contractor or agent to expedite a new Sui gas connection.” It is an immoral and legal crime. It’s a waste of time and money.
